One of the most unique parks in Kingman, Metcalfe Park named after Charles Metcalfe homes a beautiful monument/time capsule that is engraved with these words: Dedicated in Memory of Charles Metcalfe 1855-1943 He deeded in perpetuity this land as a park for the use of Kingman youth. Recognized as a civic leader and land developer, He proposed development of Hualapai Mountain Park. He held offices of Mohave County probate judge, Supt. of schools, Kingman U. S. Postmaster, Officer and Member Kingman B.P.O. Elks and Masonic Lodge. This monument built centennial year 1882 – 1982 Within this monument is a time capsule set to opened in 2082!
