Lewis Kingman Park
Lewis Kingman Park is named after... that's right, Lewis Kingman. An engineer for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad, Kingman was charged with the task of surveying the areas between Albuquerque, New Mexico and Needles, California for expansion of the railroad Westward. The Lewis Kingman Park became somewhat of a rest stop-stopover in the early 40's and 50's. Today the park boasts picnic tables, grills, sun shades, beautiful mature shade trees and Kingman's only dog park, along with a stage area, a large grassy area for soccer or Frisbee and electric is available.
