Our History
Mount Tipton wasn’t always a part of Kingman Unified School District. Originally, the school was operated by Chloride School District No. 11 and served the areas of Chloride, Dolan Springs, and Golden Shores.
In 2001, several school districts merged together to form Kingman Unified School District, including Chloride School District. In July 2001, Mt. Tipton School officially became a part of the KUSD service area. Mount Tipton School was a K-12 institution until 2013, when the KUSD board changed it to a K-6 institution.
Mount Tipton prides itself on its continual progress on school programs and student-lead projects. Currently hosting a Nature Habitat, Science Lab, and Student Garden, Mount Tipton is now working on a new Nature Trail for the benefit of it's students for many years to come.
