The Lingenfelter Center for Alzheimer’s Care was established in 2006 as it became increasingly clear that Kingman and Mohave County were in need of a secured environment for people suffering from the effects of Alzheimer’s Disease.

When a loved one is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, it’s difficult to know what to do. Alzheimer’s disease can make it extremely difficult to care for your loved one by yourself, even with the support of additional friends or family members. It may be that home care is not feasible for your family. The progression of this memory stealing disease often makes caring for people with Alzheimer’s very challenging, even for those with extreme patience and determination.

TLC offers a full continuum of care for people living with Alzheimer’s. Our clinical team’s goal is to provide the best care possible by being involved with every resident throughout each day. Every effort is made by the care giving team to provide maximum physical, emotional and spiritual comfort for the resident living with the effects of Alzheimer’s.

By employing a palliative care approach, the nursing staff at The Lingenfelter Center treat the symptoms of Alzheimer’s, not the disease. The overall goal is to create an atmosphere where residents receive personalized care centered on making all of our residents comfortable.

TLC is an 88 bed facility that has three separate villas. Each villa is designed so that each resident can be placed in the most comfortable and appropriate setting.

The Lingenfelter Center has three villas which offer different environments for our residents. The Cholla, Ocotillo and Saguaro villas, are all secure and have separate secure outdoor courtyards for residents and family to enjoy. Each Villa is its own community, which gives our staff the ability to ensure that each resident is in an appropriate setting. Residents from each of our Villas are often brought together to enjoy activities and entertainment as one extended family.

TLC is a reassuring place, designed and built with the care and comfort of our residents and their families in mind. Our comfortable, semi-private rooms are equipped with an A.D.A. approved bathroom with shower. A spacious living and dining room invite residents to dine with their loved ones and socialize with families, friends and neighbors. Outdoors, residents find beautifully-landscaped grounds, perfect for a walk as they take in the surrounding beautiful desert landscape.
